Coaching guru Atul Gawande claims, "Coaching done well may be the most effective intervention designed for human performance." Over the last decade, instructional coaching has become increasingly common in schools. Many schools enjoy the benefits of a well-run coaching program that builds the capacity of teachers, teams, and leaders. Unfortunately, other schools coaching efforts are clunking along, in serious need of a coaching tune-up. Let’s take a minute to pull instructional coaching out of the proverbial garage and give it a basic tune-up. This session is designed to help schools perform any needed tightening, aligning, or lubricating so that coaching can enjoy a smooth ride.
