Administrators and teachers consistently seek practices that can build or strengthen both student/teacher and school/home relationships, knowing that these relationships have the potential to improve student academic performance, attendance, and behavior. Teacher home visits are a promising practice that helps deliver these ends. In this session, we will briefly discuss the importance of those relationships, what an effective home visit looks like, training for the visits, and some costs and benefits of implementing this practice.
