Learning in and through the arts engages student learning across multiple content areas, which provides an opportunity for students to explore the world around them, make connections, and express themselves. The arts also serve as a foundational component of Utah’s education landscape. In this session, participants will explore how the arts can connect across curriculum to make deeper meaning, connect to Utah’s Portrait of a Graduate, and provide joyful learning experiences. Attendees can expect to engage in hands-on projects, research-based best practices, and conversations to increase student learning and retention with the goal of creating actionable steps for school and community implementation.
