Rural environments are often overlooked in traditional pedagogy discussions. Teaching English is a particular struggle in finding texts that relate to students, finding ways to scaffold for IEP and multilingual learning students, and dealing with heavy absence and home-life struggles. This session focuses on content, engagement, blended learning, and scaffolding methodologies that have been successful in other rural English classrooms.
